Took the plunge
I jumped.
You led the way.
This time would be different.
I felt safe.
Falling deeper.
Following only your voice,
Thinking we'd be okay.

Complete darkness.
Empty space.
I've done this before.
Same mistake.

Heavy

Heavy thoughts,
A heavy mind,
I never thought these butterflies
Had turned into moths.
They flew right into the open flame.

"...never in a million years",
"how about when pigs fly?",
PERHAPS
.....
but
baby
swine flu.

Taken to heart,
This
is the last time,
I fall apart.

If I fell,
then I was tripping.
Never again,
will I be so optimistic.

As much as I don't show,
Hiding what we both know,
I do admit,
I still smile,
When I see you though.
